Dancing & workshops

Besides playing concerts Floating Sofa Quartet often acts as an experienced and distinguished “dance band” for dance evenings, BalFolks, festivals and other events.

We have a wide repertoire of traditional Nordic dance music stretching from Swedish polskas to Finnish polkas and Danish quadrilles – and we don’t mind sharing some dance moves!

The group is also experienced in teaching music/ensemble workshops towards a wide variety of ages and musical levels.

The topics of the workshops can vary from teaching Nordic traditional music, arranging modern folk music and/or teaching traditional dances.
